What to expect during a consultation?
On arranging an appointment you will receive a 7 day diet diary with a pre questionnaire which needs to be returned via email 5 days before the initial appointment. The first appointment will last around 90 minutes where an evaluation of the different body systems will be taken.

A medical history and extensive timeline will help bring clients into the discovery process and tailor therapies accordingly. During the consultation we will create a personalised wellness plan that includes both dietary and lifestyle recommendations. This will be emailed within a week of the consultation taking place. Any further appointments are the choice of clients and are there to build on the initial findings.

The wellness plan that is produced will be unique to your needs with both balance and variety allowing you to maintain a lifestyle that is enjoyable. We work towards results that are sustainable not quick transformations that are extremely uncomfortable. Having a diet that works for you all year round is better then moving from one uncomfortable diet to another.

Patient Holistic Centred Care
Nutritional Therapists use evidence-based research to make dietary and lifestyle recommendations. The approach encompasses the patient-focused functional medicine model. This model focuses on identifying problems with the body systems that may be contributing to symptoms of illness.
The focus of the consultation is to address the root causes of illnesses rather than the symptoms that manifest as a result. By focusing on why a condition is there in the first place we can really help patients reach optimal health by providing an approach which targets diseases at their very source.

The graphic above illustrates how a diagnosis can be the result of more than one cause. Ultimately this underlines the importance of finding the root causes as only therapies that address the right cause will have lasting benefits beyond just managing symptoms.
